Art Education

Artist Sheila Gardner demonstrating in her summer plein air watercolor classThe Education Program provides classes and workshops throughout the year for adults and young people, utilizing artists and teachers that are both regionally and nationally recognized. Classes are structured in many different types of schedules to enable as many people as possible to attend. Student scholarships are available for both adults and young people.

The children's art program is designed to complement the existing school programs with special classes for students who want more art opportunities. These classes are often thematic, seasonal or relate to our gallery exhibitions. Several of the children's programs will be parent/child classes which will give both parents and children an opportunity to explore new media and techniques.

Scholarships and work-study opportunities are available for all classes. Scholarships are awarded on a financial need and first-come, first-served basis.

It is the responsibility of the student to obtain supply lists from the Center. Students may reserve a space in a class by paying a $25 registration fee. The remainder of the fee is due by the registration deadline. Refunds will not be given after this date.

All classes will take place at the Sun Valley Center in Ketchum unless otherwise noted.
