FREE FAMILY DAY: Colorful Mandalas: Making Beautiful Circles

Saturday, May 13, 3:00 pm

Explore the exhibition Contemplative Practice with Center staff and guest artist Kaleigh Surber and learn how artists are using balance and symmetry in their artwork. Discover circles we find in the world around us and create your own mandalas by using found objects from nature, simple drawing techniques and your own body.

Kaleigh Surber was born and raised in Nevada where she has returned to live after many years in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California. She is an artist, teacher, personal counselor, lifelong meditator, and spiritual seeker.

Family Day events at The Center provide special opportunities for multiple generations to explore art and ideas together by looking at and making art together. Family Days run from 3-5pm.

Part of The Center’s BIG IDEA project Contemplative Practices, Mar 31-Jun 23, 2017.
