Student Matinees
Company of Fools present productions for K-12 students which provide exposure to live performance and professional actors and reinforce students’ knowledge of different artistic mechanisms for storytelling, interpretation and communication.
Student matinees are offered 4-7 times annually to various grades depending on the content of the production.
Company of Fools began offering students matinees in 1999 to grades K-12. The response to these matinees has been overwhelmingly positive with matinees now selling out within 48 hours. Since the beginning of the student matinee program, Company of Fools has worked hard to ensure that tickets are offered at a nominal price and free ticket scholarships are available to any and all children with a financial need. To date, the program has enabled more than 17,000 students to experience to the magic of live theatre.
