John Grade has exhibited extensively in the United States and Europe, executing large-scale temporary sculptures in many venues. His installations, like Spur, commissioned by The Center and currently installed at Craters of the Moon, are site-specific and born out of a decades-long interest in the earth’s systems and structures. Grade is currently working on a three-year project documenting and modeling changing landforms above the Arctic Circle. The evening lecture will include a discussion of his working method and include presentations on a number of past and upcoming projects.
