FREE WORKSHOP: Making Seed Paper

Saturday, February 3, 10:00 am

Learn how to turn recycled office paper into handmade paper embedded with pollinator-friendly wildflower seeds! Participants in these workshops will participate in pulp preparation, sheet forming, pressing and drying. After the paper dries, 3,333 paper bees will be laser cut from the sheets and installed in The Center’s museum space as part of the spring exhibition, Bees. In May, the paper templates from which the bees are cut will become part of a pollinator pasture on The Center’s lot at the corner of 4th St. and 2nd Ave. in Ketchum. Ages 4+ are welcome to participate.

TWO SESSIONS of the two-hour workshop: one 10am-noon and the other at 1-3pm—will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, at The Center in Hailey.

Part of The Center’s BIG IDEA project Bees, Apr 13-Jun 22, 2018.
