This three-day workshop seeks to introduce actors to a more personal approach to text—the monologue (one person talking to another person, or group). Participants will choose a monologue they feel connected with from a play, story, or novel. It should be familiar, but it does not need to be memorized. Please bring two copies of the text to the workshop. Taught by Company of Fools’ founder Rusty Wilson, this workshop will expand your understanding of the acting process and why “less is truly more.” For adults 55 and over.
ACT II is an acting workshop designed exclusively for adults 55 and over. Taught by COF’s founder, Rusty Wilson, ACT II provides participants with an experience of the highest quality. No prior theatre experience is necessary.
In my 32 years of acting professionally I have had the privilege of working with some of theatre’s greatest teachers. None have enriched my understanding of the process of “living” on stage in quite the same way as Rusty Wilson. His teaching is inspired, comprehensive and cultivates the very best in who we are as artists. – Denise Simone
