Author Heather Parkinson Dermott shares select readings from her novel Across Open Ground, as part of the weeklong fiction workshop she is teaching June 16–20.

Heather Parkinson Dermott received her MFA in film production from University of Southern California.  She is the author of Across Open Ground, a coming of age novel set in the Wood River Valley at the dawn of WWI.  She has directed and produced a number of award winning short films.  She currently lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband and two children.  She is editing her second novel and developing a healthcare app.
